Darbuka Siva is a versatile artist who has donned many hats over the course of his life. Though he has been a radio jockey, an actor, a musician, a music producer and a director, at his core, Siva is a boy who fell in love with music and let the notes take him on a journey.Music and its infinite melodies called out to Siva when he was a mere child juggling the ever-known struggles of middle-class life and school. However, to truly delve into music, he realized there were sacrifices to make, the first of them being to drop out of college and learn as much as he could about music. In 1999, Siva’s musical journey began with learning a primordial instrument of sound i.e.,drums. Once the rhythm of the drums began, it brought forth a chain reaction that set in motion Siva’s life in art.

"Darbuka Siva, walks off with the film in
his pocket. He has a great face for the movies (he may remind you of Dominique Pinon), and at a
time comedy has been reduced to tired one-liners, it's a pleasure to be reminded of wit and timing."

"Over the years, we have witnessed several
campus flicks in different languages across the country. But only a few have actually created an
impact and kindled a sense of nostalgia. Darbuka Siva's Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee is one such film
[...] Overall, the film is definitely worth watching and would be loved by the generation who miss
their school days”.
